Our story

Two years in the edit suite. Now open to everyone.

Motionry didn't start as a plugin shop. It started as a small post-production studio in Lisbon, grading commercials and finishing documentaries. The plugins came out of the work — not the other way around.

Motionry studio in Lisbon

A short timeline

Four founders, one cat, and a lot of ProRes files.

  1. 2024

    The studio opens

Three colorists and one AE artist rent a small suite in Marvila, Lisbon. First client work: a Portuguese streamer's brand refresh.

  2. 2024

    Internal presets, v0.1

To keep colour consistent across editors, we build a private LUT library and a shared transitions pack. Nobody outside the studio ever sees it.

  3. 2025

    First 100 delivered films

Commercials for footwear, hospitality and one feature-length documentary. Our internal toolkit becomes the reason we finish on time.

  4. 2025

    Clients start asking

Editors on the client side keep asking for the presets. We license a handful under NDA. It works — projects ship faster and look sharper.

  5. 2026

    Going public

After two years of using the same tools in real production, we clean them up, write documentation, and open Motionry as a public store. Three packs. One-time purchase. No subscription.

What we believe

Tools should be paid for once. Editors already pay every month. We are not going to be the second subscription in a freelancer's inbox.

Presets should look like your work, not ours. Every LUT, transition and sound cue is engineered to sit under your own style, not paint over it.

If it doesn't ship in real production, it doesn't ship here. Every pack is field-tested on client jobs before it reaches the store.

Same toolkit our studio ships with. Yours to keep.
